ARU Delegation to ACWECA Plenary

The Association of Consecrated Women in Eastern and Central Africa (ACWECA) officially begun its 19th Plenary on Monday, 19th of August 2024, combining it with the celebration of the Golden Jubilee

Seven Delegates from the Association of Religious in Uganda (ARU) including the President of the Association, Sr. Speranza Namusisi, IHMR and the Secretary General Sr. Lydia Apili Bwor, LSMIG, left for Malawi which is the hosting country on the early morning of Sunday 18th.

The event was graced with the presence of the Apostolic Nuncio to Zambia and Malawi, His excellency Gian Luca Perici, all the Bishops of Malawi and one Bishop from Zambia. Present were also other delegates from different Associations of the ACWECA region, partners and collaborators.

The theme for this Plenary is “Transformative holistic formation for authentic living towards a deeper evangelization in the ACWECA Region and beyond.” The plenary will end on Friday 23rd August.
