The Missionaries of Jesus the Divine Master (MIDM) elected Very Reverend Father Professor Odubuker Picho Epiphany as the new Superior General and his Assistants.
This revelation was made through a press release issued by Fr. Richard Ben Drici Passi, secretary of the third general chapter – MIDM on Sept 17, 2024 at St. Monica Vocational school, Gulu Archdiocese where elections took place after a period of prayer and discernment by the elective assembly and the third General Chapter of the MIDM.
As the new leader of the community Fr. Picho Epiphany succeeds the very Reverend Father Dr. Robert Leku Owiko and will serve a six-year term.
Fr. Professor Picho brings 31 years of experience of service as a priest and has served in various leadership roles within and outside the MIDM. He is a seasoned educationist known for his expertise in educational leadership, management, planning and administration. He is an accomplished scholar, advanced in research methodology.
Meanwhile, the new elected Assistants will support the Superior General in his leadership and provide guidance to the community. They include; Fr. Richard Ben Drici Passi, who will serve as Assistant Superior in charge of Secretariat for finance and assets and the Vicar General.
Fr. Dominic Tamale Anyanzo will be in charge of Secretariat for vocation and formation, Fr. Anthony Bongomin, will be in charge of Secretariat for education and training whereas Fr. Thomas Opolot will serve as Assistant Superior General in charge of Secretariat for social communication and media.
The MIDM is grateful for the guidance of the Holy Spirit in this election process and looks forward to the leadership of the new Superior General and assistants.
