Today, 22nd October 2024, the Association of Religious in Uganda (ARU) joined the family of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary Sisters at St Charles Lwanga Buguju Parish, Mukono, in a Requiem Mass that sent off Sr. Monica Nayame who died in a tragic accident on 16th October 2024
The Rt Rev Christopher Kakooza, Bishop of Lugazi Diocese, who was the main celebrant reflected and shared on the Parable of the Workers in the Vineyard. He told the Christians present that though Sr. Monica had come in the evening to the Vineyard, she had received her denarius.
Bishop Kakooza extended his heartfelt condolences to the parents of Sr. Monica, Mr and Mrs Siyame and her entire family in Zambia and the family of the Sisters of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary who have lost such a young sister. She died at the age of 23
The families and the souls of the people who died in the same accident were also remembered.
Sr. Monica’s body will be accompanied by her sisters to Lusaka, Zambia, where she will be laid to rest on 23rd October 2024. May Sr. Monica’s Soul Rest in Eternal Peace
